Energy Efficiency: What do we need to scale it up?

The Energy Institute are holding an Energy Efficiency conference in London on January 23^rd 2013 to which BIEE members are invited . Development and implementation of a UK energy efficiency strategy is an essential part of the energy future. The rising cost of energy provides a real incentive to consumers, both domestic and commercial, to increase energy efficiency. However, price alone cannot drive the optimisation of energy consumption. To achieve ambitious policy aspirations, energy efficiency deployment has to be massively scaled up. This conference examines the barriers and the necessary preconditions to achieving this, as well as progress to date including the recently published Energy Efficiency Deployment Office (EEDO) strategy.
