Heat decarbonisation is one of the biggest challenges facing the UK in terms of meeting net zero. The reason that it is so difficult is that it involves making fundamental changes in almost every home across the country. While much work has been done on the technical merits of hydrogen versus electrification much less work has been done on understanding the differences in people’s homes, their behaviours and use of heat.
